Breathe China Air Quality app for iPhone and iPad

Blue is no more. The vast thick gray sticking beyond our cities overshadows everyone’s heart. We fly a kite, and we cannot see it soaring, but devoured by the smoggy ambience.

What’s in the air? Emitted by tens of millions of vehicles are a mixture of gases and particles. The sun shines upon them; the ultraviolet rays and high energy photons catalyzes the chemical reactions among them, creating new poison. The loop never stops.

Whenever I seek for a joyride on my bike, or a brief hike on the suburbs, I think of the above question. Air quality is becoming a new weather standard, influencing the daily decisions of Chinese populace. 1.3 billions of people’s health depends on the color above the horizon.
